Challenges
The client is a major EPC player and secured a water treatment plant (WTP) project in Madhya Pradesh. The scope of work included civil construction and the supply and installation of electromechanical (E&M) equipment. However, the fixed costs and timelines of EPC projects presented significant challenges:
- Budgetary constraints: The predetermined project budget left little room for error while selecting the vendor. Any project overruns will directly impact profitability.
- Time Crunch: The project required strict adherence to timelines. Any project delays would mean penalties and could have a cascading effect on the project.
